Requirements

  • Skills and responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician/Inventory Specialist
  • Ability to act as a role model, mentor, and guide to the pharmacy team
  • Adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation
  • Knowledge of pharmacy workflow and procedures (e.g., production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
  • Capability to assist Pharmacist-on-duty with day-to-day activities and delegated administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling, Digital Workstation Assignment Board, communications, reporting)
  • Proficiency in providing in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring, and performance feedback
  • Ability to oversee/complete inventory activities as permitted by law (e.g., putting away deliveries, physical inventories, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories)
  • Demonstration of empathy, genuine care, and compassionate service in patient interactions

Responsibilities

  • Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
  • Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
  • Champion and coach consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
  • Follow and coach pharmacy workflow/procedures at each workstation for safe/accurate fulfillment
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, personalized service, immunizations, and problem-solving/escalation at pick-up, drive-thru, phone, and register
  • Assist Pharmacist-on-duty with managing day-to-day activities and delegated administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling, communications, reporting)
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to team members and share best practices; provide performance feedback to Pharmacy Manager
  • Oversee/complete inventory activities as directed (e.g., medication deliveries, annual inventories, cycle counts) and mentor Inventory Specialist
  • Demonstrate genuine care and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture in all interactions
