Responsibilities

Apply pharmacy school knowledge to real-world practice under supervision
Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, covering store, district, and regional operations
Deepen understanding of patient safety, error prevention, quality assurance, drug utilization review (DUR), corresponding responsibility, and red flag detection
Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service exceeding patient expectations
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication
Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, personalized service, immunizations, and problem-solving/escalation
Offer counseling, field medical questions, and solicit medical history under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify or facilitate changes, where allowed by state regulation
Provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to team members and share best practices
Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stock, waiting bin inventories) as permitted by law and directed by leadership
