Responsibilities

Apply pharmacy school learning to real-world practice under supervision
Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, covering store, district, and regional operations
Deepen understanding of patient safety, error prevention, quality assurance, drug utilization review (DUR), corresponding responsibility, and red flag detection
Assist pharmacy team in smooth operations, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and pharmacy workflow at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Provide caring service exceeding patient expectations, demonstrating empathy, genuine care, and compassionate problem-solving
Contribute to positive patient experiences, including offering immunizations/services, counseling (when appropriate under supervision), fielding medical questions, and soliciting medical history
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify prescriptions or facilitate changes, where allowed by state regulation
Provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to team members, sharing best practices
Perform basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stock, waiting bin inventories), as permitted by law and directed by leadership
Take on increasing accountability for pharmacy management, oversight, and operations as tenure and readiness increase
Embrace a high-performing team culture, promoting safety and inclusivity
