Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school and be currently enrolled in a third-year internship program. They must demonstrate a strong understanding of pharmaceutical sciences, medication therapy, and patient care principles, along with the ability to apply didactic learning to real-world practice.
As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern, responsibilities include assisting the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly, operating within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices, contributing to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and care, completing a comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), and following pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians in managing and improving patient health.
