Position Overview

Flock Safety is seeking a motivated Permitting Manager to join our growing Permitting Department. This role is crucial for the company's expansion, as Permitting Managers are responsible for obtaining approvals and issuing permits from various municipalities, which directly supports our mission to help solve and deter crime. As Flock continues to expand into new communities, the Permitting team plays a vital role in the LPR industry.


Responsibilities

  • Concisely and efficiently communicate requirements to a variety of third parties, including government agencies, homeowner associations, and operations teams.
  • Assist with version control and ensure permit packages meet customer specifications.
  • Act as the main point of contact for permit inquiries, feedback, and revisions to internal and external stakeholders for the assigned territory.
  • Leverage data and reporting to track, improve, and provide transparency into performance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in permitting.
  • Experience working in public works, utilities, or government agencies is preferred.
  • Must be located in the Central Time Zone.
  • Prior experience in project management.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage and balance many complex projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to overcome objections and problem-solve quickly to ensure prompt issuance of permits.
  • Comfortable working with fast-paced, constantly evolving processes and ambiguity.
  • Ability to pivot between projects and responsibilities.
