Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in People/HR roles in Portugal or Portugal-based companies
- Degree in Human Resources, Work Psychology or similar
- Solid knowledge of Portuguese labor law
- Experience working in startups or scale-ups (plus)
- Comfort with HRIS platforms (Humaans)
- Experience or interest in HR analytics and AI
- Fluency in English and Portuguese
- Resourceful and proactive attitude: spot problems and fix them without waiting
- Enjoy getting things done, but always aim to do them better
- Can communicate clearly and kindly, across cultures and time zones
- Learn fast, own mistakes, and use them to improve
- Love a mix of structure and flexibility
Responsibilities
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Execute end-to-end processes including onboarding, offboarding, compensation reviews, contract management, benefits administration, and leave coordination
- Data Management: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in HRIS (Humaans)
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to Portuguese labor laws and maintain comprehensive internal documentation
- Travel Coordination: Manage business travel logistics including flights, accommodation, and itineraries
- Primary Support: Serve as first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries, providing timely and empathetic assistance
- Recruitment Support: Coordinate full-cycle recruitment processes
- People Programs: Support engagement surveys, performance management cycles, and learning & development initiatives
- Employer Branding: Collaborate on initiatives to strengthen employer brand
- Events: Plan and execute virtual and in-person team events, including Workation
- Workflow Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement streamlined People Ops processes
- Automation: Reduce manual work through AI tools and process automation
- Analytics: Leverage HR metrics to drive data-informed decisions
