Requirements

  • Level 8 Bachelors degree required with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline or Masters in Business Administration
  • Experience in managing and launching new Medical Device Products and therapies from inception to launch
  • Medical device product development experience and a strong understanding of FDA, ICH and IEC standards
  • Experience across the entire product lifecycle

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Extended Operations Team (up to 10 functions) to ensure on-time and on-budget performance through the new product development cycle
  • Plan the scope, budget, and project schedule for assigned work packages
  • Plan, document, and execute project schedules that integrate multiple Operations Functions to achieve a significant milestone toward product development or implementation
  • Ensure scope, cost, resource and schedule alignment between operations and core team functions
  • Schedule and lead team meetings as required
  • Follow compliance processes for New Product Development
  • Proactively develop risk mitigation and recovery plans with clear action steps defining what must be true to meet the expectations and influence others to follow
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to provide recommendations on process & product improvements
  • Ability to influence and negotiate requirements to meet program outcomes
  • Execute pre-established Operations Strategies
  • Ensure structured problem methods and predictive engineering principles are consistently and rigorously applied, such as Design for Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar concepts
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask critical questions without being the subject matter expert
  • Coach and develop extended Operations members, to help individuals advance their skills and careers. Provide performance feedback
