Fluency in Ukrainian, Polish, and English
Minimum 1 year of experience in Polish and Ukrainian payroll processing (in-house or outsourced model)
Passion for payroll operations and curiosity for details

Time management expertise and experience
Effective use of technology, resource material, websites, and payroll supplier tools for accurate and timely payroll processing
Ability to provide easy-to-understand information to employees on payroll processes and pay statements
Nice to have: Experience with foreign payroll systems, particularly Polish ones
Nice to have: Transition experience

Responsibilities

Manage and execute monthly payroll operations across Ukraine, Poland, and Kazakhstan
Create and/or maintain various payroll reports
Liaise/work with the local HR Department
Support legally required processes in collaboration with authorities (e.g., tax provider)
Provide support for international equity- and incentive-relevant statements and warrants to ensure correct taxation and build accruals
Work closely with FRA on reconciliation and financial reporting
Perform payroll audits and controls as per checklist
Collect, review, and aggregate payroll data inputs from multiple upstream sources for assigned country payrolls
Monitor supplier payroll processing and compliance activities; review outputs for completeness and accuracy
Respond to inquiries/requests in line with agreed service levels and case management processes
Handle complex and/or confidential inquiries/requests and assume ownership of escalated issues
Work with other functional areas (e.g., Timekeeping, Benefits, Compensation) to gather payroll inputs efficiently
Deliver data/reports to downstream users (e.g., Finance, third parties, statutory authorities) accurately and timely
Request funding for payroll, payroll taxes, and third-party payments; ensure Treasury acts on requests
Work effectively with Alcon functional areas and third-party payroll suppliers for end-to-end payroll services
