  • BS in health administration, nursing or a related clinical field
  • 5 years of health care quality or data analysis experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred)
  • PMP (preferred)
  • Experience with CMS Patient Safety programs (HAC Reduction, PSI, Conditions of Participation) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of AHRQ Patient Safety Indicators (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Leapfrog Group safety measures and value-based purchasing programs (preferred)
  • Strong skills in data-driven quality improvement, trend analysis, and translating safety data into system-level action (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop a national patient safety quality improvement strategy for all lines of business
  • Lead enterprise-wide quality strategy meetings
  • Develop and facilitate the integration of a national quality plan
  • Identify and integrate best practices into state programs
  • Develop performance improvement plans and oversee clinical patient safety quality improvement activities/projects
  • Participate in the development, management, review and reporting of program outcomes for clinical patient safety quality programs
  • Assure compliance with corporate Quality Improvement work plans
  • Ensure research program documentation meets regulatory and Accreditation Standards
  • Assure accurate and complete quantitative analysis of clinical data
  • Lead department projects and mentor staff
  • Prepare and present program documents to senior management
