ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa, a global BPO company, is partnering with a USA-based client in the Healthcare sector. We are seeking a Patient Intake Specialist to join our remote support team. This dual-role position focuses on onboarding new and existing patients into ABA services, while also managing insurance authorizations and performing quality assurance checks on clinical and administrative documentation.

Working Hours

  • Time Zone: EST (Eastern Standard Time)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM (15:00 PM to 24:00 AM South African Time) - Subject to change due to daylight savings.

Work Environment

  • Type: Remote
  • Citizenship: This role is exclusively for South African Citizens.

Internet Requirements

  • Speed: Minimum 25 Mbps (upload & download)
  • Connection: Wired Ethernet connection required.

Power Backup

  • Requirement: A reliable power backup solution is mandatory to manage load shedding and power outages.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families, engaging primarily via phone.
  • Gather essential information from families regarding their insurance, therapy needs, and scheduling preferences.
  • Ensure every detail is accurately and thoroughly recorded to create a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Verify the accuracy and completion of all required forms, for compliance and quality assurance standards.
  • Submit insurance verification requests with 100% accuracy, ensuring families can access services without delay.
  • Enter and manage client data in Central Reach, maintaining precision across all records.
  • Monitor all client interactions and ensure all necessary actions are completed promptly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Background: Background in home care, ABA therapy, healthcare, or insurance verification is highly advantageous.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple moving parts, track deadlines, and follow up without missing a beat.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Patience and professionalism to handle sensitive conversations with families, providing support when they need it most.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Google Drive, Central Reach (added benefit), Excel, and other administrative tools.
  • Self-Starter: A self-starter who can independently document interactions, track tasks, and ensure no detail falls through the cracks.
