Responsibilities

Participate in recruitment of new clinical staff
Assist with clinical orientation and ongoing training of direct patient care personnel and facility staff
Function as preceptor in direct patient care training programs per FMS standards
Deliver and maintain competency evaluations/audits for other PCTs
Collaborate with Clinical Manager and Education Coordinator to drive quality standards through education on ESRD regulations and CQI
Assist in training direct patient care staff on applicable programs
Provide coaching and developmental support to clinical and facility staff
Partner with RN and IDT staff to educate personnel on facility water systems integrity and safety
Partner with RN and IDT staff to educate on environmental integrity, patient, and staff safety
Ensure strong communication on training and development programs between managers, coordinators, and staff
Participate in implementing and designing creative educational programs for PCT staff (e.g., contests, team-based)
Collaborate on scheduling and implementation of training programs
Monitor patient care processes through regular CQI activities
Incorporate FMS policies, procedures, and ethical practices into training
Assist in providing patient-specific education on adequacy measures (OLC, AMP, UKM) and disease process/access
Welcome assigned patients and inquire about wellbeing
Evaluate vascular access for patency
Obtain pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight
Perform pre-treatment vascular access evaluation
Perform vascular access cannulation
Perform administration of Heparin
Setup and operate hemodialysis machines
Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment
Support FMCNA Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and CQI activities, including patient satisfaction and process improvements
