Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand 8-10 hours a day
  • Willingness to work in a meat environment with blood, fat, bones, hair, and other cattle products
  • Willingness to work in extreme hot and wet conditions with temperatures ranging from 33-100 degrees
  • Ability to complete all required training for the job
  • Availability for A Shift: 5:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, including Saturdays
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends
  • Proof of authorization to work legally in the United States
  • Ability to pass a urinalysis screening as part of post-offer health assessment
  • Ability to perform position tasks

Responsibilities

  • Work in any position in the Hides department
  • Retrieve cured cow hides from a brine tank and hang them
  • Fold, lift, carry, and palletize hides
  • Use powered equipment and knives as required
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
