Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate law department, law firm or other similar environment, preferably with increasing responsibility over that time
  • Proficient in the use of technology platforms in the administration of contracting and other legal documents
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extensive experience handling commercial contracts administration within corporate legal setting
  • Project management or other similar experience managing strategic initiatives
  • Background in areas of contract administration
  • Possess a valid Notary Public commission in New Jersey
  • Paralegal certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with legal team members to support internal clients as needed
  • Provide support to process and assist in coordinating redlines to agreements, assist with the preparation of documents, certificates, amendments and other legal documents and correspond with business groups and Contracts team personnel to finalize and execute contracts
  • Assist with litigation discovery, including document production and related issues
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of closing binders
  • Maintain corporate records, including minute books, board resolutions, and organizational documents
  • Assist in managing and imputing data into the Law Department’s Legal Tracker system, including assisting with managing law department databases and records
  • Perform various research functions as required
  • Help manage internal compliance efforts to align with state and federal laws
  • Assist with the preparation of Law Department budgets and monthly legal accruals
  • Assist in building and driving a culture of compliance and efficiency throughout the Company and to help assess current and anticipated emerging risk areas across the Company
  • Support members of the legal team with special projects and initiatives
