Registered Nurse (RN) license
Entry-level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP); required to complete CAP requirements to advance
Ability to perform physical demands: heavy lifting, moving patients, assisting with ambulation, frequent prolonged standing, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet, moving equipment up to 200 lbs. with assistance
Work in healthcare facility environment with exposure to infectious diseases, moderate noise, air temperature control

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-during-post hemodialysis treatment, document in medical record, adjust treatment plan, notify Team Leader/Charge Nurse/Supervisor/Physician as needed
Assess, collaborate, and document patient/family basic learning needs; provide initial and ongoing education
Direct and provide, in collaboration with staff, safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients
Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms, document justification and effectiveness
Initiate or assist with emergency response measures
Serve as resource for healthcare team, participate in staff training and orientation of new staff
Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, shipping; reschedule missed/insufficient collections
Identify expected outcomes, document and update nursing assessment and plan of care via collaboration with Interdisciplinary Team
Ensure patient awareness of transplant and treatment modality options
Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities
Perform all duties in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policy, procedures, nursing standards, state/federal regulations
Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor
