Candidates should possess a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted by Fresenius Medical Care. A minimum of one year of recent clinical experience is preferred, and the ability to obtain certification in Dialysis is expected.
The Outpatient Registered Nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. They will also perform ongoing data collection and analysis, make adjustments to treatment plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations. Furthermore, the nurse will ensure correct laboratory procedures are followed, initiate or assist with emergency response measures, and participate in staff training and orientation.
