Candidates must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. A minimum of one year of experience as an RN, preferably in an outpatient setting, is required. Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of hemodialysis procedures are essential, as is the ability to interpret and document patient data accurately.
The Outpatient Registered Nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care to assigned patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This includes collecting and analyzing patient data, making treatment adjustments, educating patients and families, administering medications, and responding to emergencies. They will also collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, participate in staff training, and ensure proper laboratory procedures are followed, all while adhering to Fresenius Kidney Care policies and regulations.
