Requirements

Candidates should possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree. A minimum of one year of experience as an RN in an outpatient setting, preferably with experience in dialysis, is required. Strong assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills are necessary, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

The Outpatient Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care to assigned patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This includes monitoring patients during hemodialysis treatment, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed, documenting patient data, and administering medications. They will also assess patient/family learning needs and provide education, initiate or assist with emergency response measures, serve as a resource and mentor to other staff, ensure correct laboratory procedures are followed, and participate in quality improvement projects.
