Candidates should possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent. Prior experience in outpatient settings is preferred, and a strong understanding of patient care principles is essential.
As an Outpatient Registered Nurse, the individual will be responsible for directing the care of patients receiving chronic hemodialysis therapy, assessing their needs, and developing appropriate care assignments. They will monitor patient care staff, participate in staff training, and provide ongoing education to patients and families regarding ESRD, vascular access, and dialysis therapy, as well as ensuring compliance with treatment schedules and medication adherence. Additionally, the RN will accurately implement treatment prescriptions, assess patient responses, and communicate any concerns to the Team Leader or physician.
