Candidates should possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent. A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred, particularly in an outpatient setting. Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills are required, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
The Outpatient Registered Nurse will be responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care to assigned patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This role involves ongoing data collection and analysis, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed, and documenting patient information accurately. The RN will also perform patient education, administer medications, initiate emergency response measures, and serve as a resource for the healthcare team. Furthermore, they will participate in decision-making, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
