Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license, and possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Prior experience in an outpatient setting, particularly with hemodialysis patients, is preferred. Completion of the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) is required.
The Outpatient Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care for assigned patients undergoing hemodialysis, including the collection and analysis of patient data, making treatment plan adjustments, and documenting findings in the medical record. They will also administer medications, initiate emergency response measures, provide patient and family education, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure proper laboratory procedures are followed. Furthermore, the RN will serve as a resource for the healthcare team, participate in staff training, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
