Requirements

  • High School diploma required. Associate's degree preferred
  • 1 year International Logistics experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create booking and dispatch shipments to the local and international carriers
  • File export shipment data into U.S. Census system and send to international carriers
  • Maintain, manage and communicate outbound loading schedules with warehouse
  • Assure freight cost accuracy by comparing cost protected to carrier contracts
  • Maintain and manage outbound FTZ process
  • Add data and maintain data integrity in Sysco’s export shipping system (SUS – Export Module)
  • Coordinate all aspects of international logistic functions
  • Coordinate smooth product and document movement through proper carrier selection and follow up
  • Build relationships with carrier partners and negotiates on a spot basis to meet customer requirements
  • Update and maintain data that is presented to inside and outside customers, vendors and carriers
  • Assure timely and accurate costing of freight
  • Administer procedures to ensure near zero nonconformance rates
  • Identify service failures and remedies as quickly and completely as possible
