Requirements

Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us)
On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
Able to use clinical skills and passion for the role to deliver a memorable customer experience
Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the culture of the department

Responsibilities

Deliver high quality patient care, putting customers first
Screen patients
Provide treatment and monitoring of minor eye conditions under NHS extended service contracts
Coach and train the wider team
Help maintain standards in the department
Work in partnership with an Optical Manager (qualified Dispensing Optician) to combine clinical and operational excellence
Support with coaching, training, and developing new patient services to meet customer needs
