Responsibilities

Preparing patients for eye examinations and explaining each stage of the eye test
Completing pre-screening examinations
Booking appointments for customers
Dispensing spectacles and contact lenses
Dealing with repairs and adjustments
Ensuring stock has been received from the supplier
Delivering warmth, friendliness, and confidence in discussing personal ocular health issues
Quickly resolving customer problems and guiding them to the right products
Participating in training programmes (e.g., Asda Optical Step In or Level 3 Optical Assistant Apprenticeship) to learn dispensing, repairs, adjustments, glasses verification, and contact lens insertion/removal
