Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for eye examinations and explain each stage of the eye test
  • Complete pre-screening examinations
  • Book appointments for customers
  • Dispense spectacles and contact lenses
  • Handle repairs and adjustments for spectacles
  • Ensure stock has been received from the supplier
  • Deliver warmth, friendliness, and confidence in discussing personal ocular health issues
  • Quickly resolve customer problems and guide them to the right products
  • Participate in training programmes (e.g., Asda Optical Step In, Level 3 Optical Assistant Apprenticeship) to learn dispensing, repairs, adjustments, glasses verification, and contact lens insertion/removal
  • Provide amazing customer service and patient care
