High School Diploma or Equivalent
2-5 years in chemical manufacturing preferred
Verbal and written fluency in English
Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment integral to job tasks
Ability to take process samples, make process adjustments or material additions from specific locations
Ability to visually monitor process equipment and analytical test equipment
Pass a fit for duty exam, respirator medical clearance examination, and respirator fit test (able to wear respirator during strenuous activity)
Meet requirements of the hearing conservation program
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, climb, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist, reach overhead with repetitive motions
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 55 pounds (no more than 100 pounds without assistance)
Ability to manually disconnect and/or connect (inferred from incomplete description)
Strong understanding of safety procedures, machinery operation, time management, adaptability, decision making, and Stop Work Authority

Responsibilities

Control and monitor dispersion process, centrifugation and classifying process, and sludge disposal process and equipment per standard or prescribed operating instructions
Provide guidance and training to new operators
Clean process equipment as required or directed
Check and inspect all related and ancillary equipment and instrumentation for proper operation and accuracy
Control and monitor flash drying reaction, dewatering, and classifying process and equipment per standard or prescribed operating instructions
Control and monitor low pressure boiler, fluid bed drying process and equipment, raw material bulk bag unloading process and equipment, and packaging process and equipment per standard or prescribed operating instructions
Initiate and maintain flash drying dispersions, centrifugation, and sludge disposal process
Initiate and maintain flash drying reactions, dewatering, classifying, and packaging processes
