Responsibilities
Supervise a team of Lead Operators, Operators and/or General Laborers to ensure efficient landfill operation
Ensure adherence to fill sequencing plans, achieve density goals, and operate the landfill consistent with applicable permits
Work with Operations Manager and General Manager to implement tactical initiatives for functional excellence and budget achievement
Ensure adherence to all accident prevention programs and lead operations to comply with safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics, and other standards
Execute and deliver Safety, Customer Experience, and Efficiency while supporting employee engagement culture
Understand and provide leadership to achieve and communicate safety goals and objectives; remove unsafe conditions or situations
Partner with maintenance department to ensure equipment is in working order and complies with safety standards
Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to prevent accidents and injuries; maintain a safe and productive work environment; implement loss control and safety programs
Engage employees in active participation to instill a culture of safety through personal commitment and outreach
Provide service to customers that meets or exceeds expectations; resolve unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes with timely communications
Interact with customers to solve issues and improve overall customer experience
Serve as a positive company representative to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
Establish productivity goals; ensure adherence to operating standards; manage labor hours and disposal expenses per plans
