Requirements

  • 5+ years related experience in Finance and Business analysis
  • Demonstrate an understanding of data center hardware components and infrastructure
  • Prioritize asset management software and tools
  • Build business cases, financial forecasts, pricing analysis, and cost improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of hardware assets within Zoom’s data centers
  • Coordinate with data center operations and engineering teams for hardware moves, adds, and changes
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all data center hardware assets, including servers, networking equipment, storage devices, and related components
  • Refine asset tracking processes and procedures to ensure compliance with up-to-date company policies and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular audits of hardware assets to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Oversee the decommissioning and disposal of end-of-life hardware, ensuring data sanitization and adherence to applicable rules and regulations
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to hardware asset management processes and procedures
  • Perform data analysis to support strategic business decisions
  • Generate reports on asset utilization, lifecycle status, and cost analysis
  • Perform monthly carrier and data center expense analysis to support cost reduction initiatives
  • Review capital and operational expenses for abnormal usages, rate accuracy, and determine course of action to remediate
  • Manage telecom and data center expenses
  • Evaluate and track global carrier rate plans (inbound/outbound rate, TF, local#, etc.)
  • Support the monthly close and forecasting process, working closely with accounting in reconciling month-end close numbers with forecast, and continuously refining forecast variables
  • Collaborate with the Zoom Accounts payable and Finance teams to manage Purchase Orders and track the receipt of products and services
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery to facilitate on-time vendor payments
