Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing
Flexible with breaks, lunch, hours, and tasks
Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with all levels; from hourly to senior staff
Willingness to learn and solve problems with an open mind
Basic Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Able to use basic hand tools and read a tape measure
Team oriented, but also able to work independently
Productive and organized
Good reading and verbal comprehension skills
Basic math skills
Basic spatial awareness and layout skills
Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions
Attention to Detail
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Continuously learn and apply applicable Lean tools to drive a culture of change
Communicate the lean transformation and initiatives to employees
Help establish, coach, and maintain effective daily performance management
Train and coach hourly operators and other employees on lean tools and processes
Support improvements; plan, support, participate, and facilitate
Assist with problem solving
Assist Team Leader to ensure improvements are made and sustained
Other duties as identified by the Value Stream Coach and Lean Specialists to further the site's Lean Manufacturing initiative
