Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Flexible with breaks, lunch, hours, and tasks
  • Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with all levels; from hourly to senior staff
  • Willingness to learn and solve problems with an open mind
  • Basic Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Able to use basic hand tools and read a tape measure
  • Team oriented, but also able to work independently
  • Productive and organized
  • Good reading and verbal comprehension skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic spatial awareness and layout skills
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions

Responsibilities

  • Continuously learn and apply applicable Lean tools to drive a culture of change
  • Communicate the lean transformation and initiatives to employees
  • Help establish, coach, and maintain effective daily performance management
  • Train and coach hourly operators and other employees on lean tools and processes
  • Support improvements; plan, support, participate, and facilitate
  • Assist with problem solving
  • Assist Team Leader to ensure improvements are made and sustained
  • Other duties as identified by the Value Stream Coach and Lean Specialists to further the site's Lean Manufacturing initiative
