Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a technician background in network or computer troubleshooting and installation, a good driving record, willingness to travel on short notice, the ability to work well with hand tools, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Demonstrated proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs is also required, along with an ability to learn and retain new information quickly and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

The Onsite Services Installer will complete the full integration of Point-of-Sale systems and peripherals at merchant locations, coordinating with merchants and Installation Coordinators to ensure all requirements are met. They will perform site surveys, network troubleshooting, repair or replacement of network cabling, hardware, and software troubleshooting, and test hardware, software, and credit card processing with minimal remote support. Installers will also provide documentation and photos of work performed, train clients on POS ecosystems, acquire an in-depth understanding of the merchant processing industry, track expenses and submit monthly reports, participate in recurring training, manage inventory, and provide installation and feedback on new software and hardware while in beta testing. This position requires working flexible hours, including on-call shifts, early mornings, late nights, and weekends, practicing safe driving habits, and having reliable transportation, as well as the ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and work orders.
