Requirements

Candidates must possess a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Occupational Health and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC Register, with demonstrated continuous professional development. A qualification in Hand Arm Vibration and experience with drug and alcohol sample collection using chain of custody protocols are desirable. The ability to conduct audiometry, spirometry, skin assessments, HAVS, and safety critical medicals is also required.

Responsibilities

Occupational Health Advisors will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of OH duties, including case management, mandatory, regulatory, and general fitness medicals such as Rail industry medicals and Safety Critical medicals. They will also perform health surveillance, Train Drivers medicals, and provide health and wellbeing services, potentially including HAVS 3 assessments.
