The Opportunity

Flock Safety is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our Product Deployment team. This team is characterized by its results-driven approach, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and critical thinking skills, all focused on delivering exceptional product installations that delight our customers and support our expansion into a multi-product company.

The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and company policies. This role demands a solid understanding of electrical theory, practical application, and safety regulations.

Required Availability:

• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
• Travel: Frequent regional travel (up to 90%) is expected for installations, maintenance, and testing. This role typically involves being on the road for a couple of weeks at a time.

Responsibilities:

• Install and troubleshoot electrical components, including wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and panels that support Flock products.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting using various electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, voltage testers, ammeters).
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems.
• Estimate time and materials required for projects.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality.
• May be required to train and mentor apprentice electricians.
• Operate a bucket truck and/or ladder to work on equipment up to 30 feet high.
• Provide installation pictures via the Flock field app.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Conduct work in a safe and professional manner.
• Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys.
• Communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers.
• May be required to install poles of varying lengths per installation specifications, including digging holes a minimum of 8” x 24”.

The Skillset:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician certification.
• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician (typically 4+ years).
• Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and its practical application.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with various electrical testing equipment.
