The Observability Response and Reliability Technician should have proficiency with source control technologies like Git and Subversion, and experience using configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Chef. A foundational understanding of processing and system health checks in complex technology environments is essential, as is a willingness to learn and continuously improve procedural operations.

Responsibilities

The technician will use infrastructure-as-code and configuration management based platforms to complete assignments, and provide support for the Ouro processing environment. Key duties include overseeing software component installations and deployments with robust monitoring in a 24/7 Production Environment, administering Linux and Windows operating systems, and maintaining scripts in various languages like Shell, Perl, Python, and Ruby. Responsibilities also encompass using and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitLab or Jenkins, creating and maintaining documentation for deployment and monitoring protocols, and handling managed file transfers and enterprise scheduling activities. Participation in Quarterly DR and HA testing is also a part of the role.
