  • Ability to interact with patients via telephone, email, in-home settings, public settings, one-on-one, group, and caregiver-included forums
  • Adherence to AbbVie documents PD21-01-002 Practice Standards for Care Specialists and PD21-01-001 Practice Standards for Advocates
  • Use only AbbVie-approved support, tools, resources, and information
  • All materials approved through divisional STAR review and approval process
  • Field-based role managing accounts and patient caseload in a large geography (Puerto Rico/National)
  • Management of assigned travel and commercial budgets

Responsibilities

  • Provide appropriate product-related training and education for patients prescribed PRODUCT
  • Serve as the link for enrolled patients to understand and utilize PRODUCT services, including training and adherence education
  • Assist in developing patient product support programs focused on treatment onboarding, product-related education, and adherence to treatment plans
  • Assist in developing STAR-reviewed education plans on onboarding, product administration, adherence, and compliance to improve patient-doctor dialogue
  • Deliver product-related training and patient disease education to prescribed patients
  • Provide education to support improved health literacy and dialogue between patients and healthcare providers
  • Never provide medical advice; refer patients to their healthcare provider
  • Do not interfere with treatment decisions between patient and healthcare provider
  • Offer supplemental injection and administration training, disease state, and product-related information to support prescribed therapy
  • Conduct educational programs for HCPs and office staff introducing the Multi-therapeutic Care Specialist patient support program
  • Support physician peer-to-peer engagement by providing input on program content or appearing as a speaker using STAR-approved content
  • Manage accounts and patient caseload in a large geography
  • Manage assigned travel and commercial budgets
