Requirements

Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals, upgrading to BJ’s Perks programs
Ability to stay up to date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information
Ability to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
Commitment to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate)
Full-time availability

Responsibilities

Process Member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products
Scan all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system for accurate inventory counts and purchase totals
Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from members
Issue receipts or change due to members
Offer all appropriate membership products such as renewal, EASY renewal option, My BJs Perks programs, and awards redemption
Provide high level of customer service and check members out in a timely and efficient manner
Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist at self-checkout stations
Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons
Maintain the cleanliness of the frontline area and assist in general club housekeeping when necessary
Return re-sellable merchandise
Support club policies, procedures, and compliance
Act with honesty and integrity, lead with the member in mind, and escalate concerns as appropriate
Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members
Embrace inclusion and diversity, working collaboratively with respect
Deliver service excellence, resolve and de-escalate member concerns
Work as a team to achieve goals and deliver GOLD club standards daily, including Grand Opening Look
