Requirements

Candidates must have a proven track record of delivering financial targets, 3-5+ years of experience selling life science reagents and solutions, and demonstrated technical knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing applications. Experience selling next generation sequencing target enrichment products is essential. A background in technical sales and support or field applications, and proficiency with Salesforce.com are preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Biology or a similar field is preferred. Key attributes include determination, self-motivation, scientific problem-solving skills, technical depth in synthetic biology, excellent consultative selling skills, strong relationship management, communication, and presentation skills, and the ability to thrive in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities

The NGS Sales Specialist is responsible for delivering revenue and driving growth in their territory for Twist Bioscience sequencing products, achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets, and delivering accurate and timely forecasts. They will develop and manage key customer relationships, develop contingency and risk mitigation plans, and execute supply agreements. Responsibilities also include collaborating with internal teams to minimize time to revenue, maintaining the CRM database, representing the company at tradeshows, and staying informed about the competitive landscape. Additionally, they will provide customer feedback and introduce new product ideas to internal partners.
