Requirements

Candidates must have a strong Genetics and Molecular Biology foundation, with 4+ years of experience in a Life Science laboratory, Sales role, or a related field with customer-facing experience. Preferred qualifications include experience with strategic sales skills, knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping methods, and a Master's degree. The candidate must be located in Massachusetts or San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

The Genomics Sales Representative is responsible for positioning and selling company products, engaging and qualifying new and existing customers, and partnering with internal and field-based sales teams. Key duties include developing a strong understanding of Illumina's technology and products, executing strategies to meet revenue goals, selling the total Illumina product portfolio, making outbound customer contacts, presenting solutions during negotiations, managing customer relationships post-sale, and contributing to revenue opportunities within a team environment.
