Requirements

Candidates should possess experience with designing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring large enterprise networks, preferably in federal government environments, and familiarity with Agile processes using the SAFe framework. Strong troubleshooting skills for complex LAN/WAN infrastructure including routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF are essential, along with knowledge of VPNs, web proxies, and XML gateways.

Responsibilities

The Network Security Engineer will troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN infrastructure, work on various networking concepts and routing protocols, assist in determining enterprise information assurance and security standards, ensure information assurance/security standards are up to date, coordinate and evaluate security programs, identify and resolve security violations, support customers in implementing doctrine and policies, perform systems engineering tasks, apply know-how to government and commercial systems, review and implement security requirements for computer systems, provide integration and implementation of security solutions, analyze information assurance-related technical problems, perform vulnerability/risk analyses, ensure information systems are functional and secure, and perform system security tuning and monitoring.
