Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • 16 years of experience (combination of work history and education: Doctorate + 8 years, Master’s + 10 years, Bachelor’s + 12 years, Associate’s + 14 years, or HS Diploma + 16 years)
  • Compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
  • Experience specific to network engineering including Tier III or higher network operations and/or network design and implementation
  • Prior responsibility for production network hardware and software configurations for Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper infrastructure
  • Network engineering and design experience with MPLS WANs and/or similar WAN protocols, network management tools, and firewalls
  • Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard routing protocols in a production network, such as OSPF or BGP
  • Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard switching and trunking protocols in a production network, such as VLANs, 802.1q, and port-channels
  • At least 5 years of supervisory and/or management experience of network engineering or operations teams
  • Proficient in working with cryptographic devices such as KG-175s and KG-142s

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall health and wellness of the workforce in your area of responsibility
  • Oversee daily operations and set performance objectives for the network engineering team
  • Ensure mapping of resources, activities, and manage as per timelines and budget constraints
  • Secure long-term client relationships by maintaining effective customer relations
  • Ensuring internal standards and procedures are followed
  • Ability to operate in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Interpret customer requirements and apply standard network design approaches for service delivery into the operational baseline
  • Fully document network designs with diagrams, bill of materials, cabling sheets, configurations, and other supporting documents
  • Provide technical expertise to network engineers and technicians
  • Solve tough problems with innovative and scalable solutions
  • Develop secure network designs including configurations that align with DISA STIGs and enterprise policies
  • Provide Tier III level incident management support to subordinate Tier II network teams
