Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and experience in manual software testing within networking or cybersecurity environments. Familiarity with firewall and network security concepts, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, is required, as is experience with testing tools and Excel-based test documentation.
The Network Firewall & Software Manual Testing Engineer will conduct manual testing of firewall and hotspot gateway software to ensure reliability and performance, documenting all test cases, results, and observations using Excel or related software tools. They will identify, log, and track bugs and defects, ensuring they are properly reported and addressed by developers, and perform various testing methodologies including functional, regression, performance, and unit testing. The role also involves collaborating with developers and network engineers to troubleshoot and validate fixes, taking full ownership of assigned tasks to ensure quality assurance objectives are met, and ensuring compliance with network security standards and best practices while continuously improving test cases and contributing to process enhancements.
