Requirements

Candidates must possess extensive experience with Cisco Catalyst (IOS) and Nexus (NX-OS) switches, including configuration and management, proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet FortiGate firewall platforms, a strong understanding of Layer 2 switching protocols such as VLANs, Spanning Tree (STP), and Link Aggregation (LACP), solid grasp of routing protocols including OSPF and BGP, and in-depth knowledge of IPsec VPN and SSL VPN architectures and configurations. Familiarity with data center features such as Virtual Port Channels (vPC) for enhanced redundancy and throughput, and experience with server hardware and the Linux operating system, including basic configuration via command line, troubleshooting, and automation and scripting skills are also required.

Responsibilities

The Network Engineer will design and optimize network infrastructure to support ultra-low-latency trading applications and services, troubleshoot and resolve complex network infrastructure problems to ensure maximum availability and performance, provide day-to-day support for both network and application environments, monitoring connectivity and responding to alerts or incidents as needed, continuously evaluate emerging networking technologies and service providers, and travelling across multi-sites within APAC and the US is required for the position. Additionally, the role involves performing hands-on data center work, including installation, maintenance, and break-fix support for hardware such as network switches, firewalls, and servers.
