Requirements

  • United States Citizenship and Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field plus 8-years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 6-years, or Associate's degree plus 10-years, or high school diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering, including network or system administration
  • Able to obtain an IAT-I certification (e.g., A+CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+CE, SSCP)
  • Strong Linux experience
  • Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management
  • Experience supporting hardware installation (e.g., servers and network infrastructure)
  • Experience setting up storage such as network-attached storage
  • Experience implementing security best practices including PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance
  • Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C

Responsibilities

  • Guided by customer requirements, describe a generic network architecture that is device independent and satisfies customer goals and requirements
  • Create a detailed network design that is architecturally compliant, incorporates Agency standard networking components, meets cost and performance requirements, and adheres to all existing Agency and government regulations
  • Evaluate new network technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions
  • Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact
  • Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions
  • Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure
  • Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs
