Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in software development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They should have experience with .NET, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#, as well as experience with database technologies such as MS SQL (including SSIS and SSRS) and MySQL. Experience supporting laboratory systems or other scientific data environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Genomics Application Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications following SDLC best practices to support Neogen Genomics operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable application solutions. This role involves designing and documenting system architecture, user stories, and data flows, conducting systematic testing, working closely with development and IT teams to define system requirements and data integrations, troubleshooting system issues, providing user training, supporting laboratory, data, and project managers in project planning, assessing and recommending system improvements, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
