Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and an interim or active Secret clearance. A minimum of 8 years of financial management or budget execution experience in a DoD environment is required, along with hands-on experience with Navy ERP (FM, CO, and HR modules), SLCADA, and DCPS. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint is essential, as is a strong ability in analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving. Desired skills include experience supporting Navy Echelon II or III commands, familiarity with labor distribution reconciliation, knowledge of FI-CO operations within Navy ERP, understanding of manpower planning and billet management, and relevant certifications like CDFM or SAP/Navy ERP technical training.
The Navy ERP FI-CO SME will support financial and controlling processes within Navy ERP, providing expert guidance and ensuring system functionality. Responsibilities include analyzing financial transactions and cost data for budget planning, fund execution, variance analysis, and financial reporting. They will utilize FI and CO modules for cost center reports, internal orders, and financial postings, and reconcile financial data from systems like DCPS and SLCADA. The role involves developing financial forecasts, supporting the integration of timekeeping and payroll data, preparing financial reports and briefings, monitoring funding obligations, assisting with End-of-Year financial closeout, and providing audit support. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve ERP-related financial issues is also a key responsibility.
