Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical development with Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail or Dynamics 365 Commerce (Retail)
  • Strong development expertise in POS solutions (MPOS/CPOS) using Commerce SDK, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, and .NET Core
  • Experience configuring Store Commerce, Hardware Station, Retail Server, and Retail Channel components
  • Proficient in integrating third-party systems including payment providers, eCommerce platforms, and fiscal compliance tools
  • Hands-on experience with deployment tools (LCS, Azure DevOps), environment management, and performance diagnostics
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel retail architecture, store operations, and customer engagement workflows
  • Experience working with data entities for retail (products, assortments, prices, discounts, registers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of security roles, offline sync, and store database operations in distributed retail environments
  • Prior experience working with regional or global retailers preferred
  • Nice to have: Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) in the context of retail use cases
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with ISVs and add-ons like LS Retail or localized fiscal integration tools
  • Nice to have: Exposure to D365 eCommerce and unified commerce implementations
  • Nice to have: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Commerce Functional Consultant Associate or similar
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to performance and reliability

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong client relationships through value-driven consulting, stakeholder engagement, and proactive support
  • Lead the technical development and customization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce (Retail) and POS systems (MPOS/CPOS)
  • Configure and extend Store Commerce, Hardware Station, and peripheral integrations (printers, cash drawers, scanners, card readers, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain POS customizations using the Commerce SDK, TypeScript, JavaScript, and .NET
  • Implement integrations between POS and backend systems such as ERP, payment gateways, fiscal printers, loyalty systems, and eCommerce platforms
  • Design and deploy offline-first architecture for POS scenarios and ensure high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and convert them into technical designs and FDDs
  • Work with Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS) for source control, build/release pipelines, and deployment management
  • Support end-to-end testing, performance tuning, and go-live deployment for retail and POS solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and maintain technical documentation
  • Provide Level 3 support for POS issues post-go-live and ensure smooth operations across store networks
