Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain mortgage licenses in multiple states
  • Minimum of 3-5 years prior leadership experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years prior mortgage banking industry experience
  • Valid Driver's License (as driving is an essential function)
  • An active NMLS License is preferred
  • Builder affiliate experience is preferred
  • Ability to communicate actionable and valuable information to various dependent parties at different levels of the organization in a clear, effective, and professional manner
  • Experience in team management and leadership, with a focus on professional development and growth
  • Effective understanding of mortgage lending processes, regulations, and industry trends
  • Demonstrated ability to drive

Responsibilities

  • Effectively leading a full team by overseeing all aspects of hiring, performance management, employee development, and mentorship to ensure high productivity and optimal staff engagement in a mortgage branch environment
  • Training sales professionals on the benefits of Pulte Mortgage including but not limited to the expanded customer inquiry tools, online application process and post application tools for tracking customer status during the escrow period
  • Proactively pursuing and securing signups for Pulte Mortgage at point of sale
  • Actively participating with builder in Homebuyer and/or Realtor events designed to generate community interest
  • Setting standards for customer service in conjunction with local homebuilding management and achieving targeted customer satisfaction rating goals
  • Ensuring the team achieves expected outcomes and effectively managing challenges as they occur
  • Attending all community and leadership meetings as a member of the Division Senior Operating team
  • Serving as a liaison between various builder and mortgage functions to efficiently manage Division's backlog
  • Ensuring timely subdivision approval
  • Meeting or exceeding business plan goals
  • Managing branch financial performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ensuring appropriate staffing to meet department needs
  • Utilizing recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent
  • Delegating work according to employee’s abilities and skills
  • Evaluating employee’s performance and planning for compensation actions in accordance with that performance
  • Providing developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities
  • Creating opportunities for employee growth
  • Providing continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors)
  • Generating an effective mortgage strategy and working with the Homebuilder to meet and exceed plan goals
