Mechanic II – Fleet Maintenance

Position Overview:

At World Fuel Services, we are looking for a skilled Mechanic II to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You will play a critical role in ensuring our fleet of vehicles and equipment is safe, efficient, and compliant. This hands-on role involves working with a variety of equipment to keep our operations running smoothly and our customers powered.

Pay:

• Base Pay: $30 - $35 per hour, depending on experience
• Mobile Mechanic Premium: +$2 per hour
• CDL Premium: +$2 per hour (if holding CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements)

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and tank testing in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot meters and other fuel delivery systems.
• Create and maintain accurate service logs and documentation.
• Collaborate with drivers, operations, and safety teams to ensure fleet readiness.
• Keep tools and shop equipment clean, safe, and in top condition.
• Support additional shop and field tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience: 8+ years in fleet maintenance or mechanical repair.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with DVIR reviews, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Zoom, Teams, and maintenance systems like PlanetFM.
• Certifications (Preferred): CDL Class A or B with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements.
