Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field with 2-4+ years of proven experience as a software engineer
  • Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, XML, Web technologies, Web Services, Design Patterns, and OOAD
  • Solid foundation in computer science with strong proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Proficient in implementing OOAD, architectural and design patterns, diverse platforms, frameworks, technologies, and software engineering methodologies
  • Experience in Oracle/NoSQL DBs, REST, Event Source, Web Socket
  • Experience with data solutions like Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Kafka, Storm, Flink etc. (plus)
  • Experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3 (nice to have)
  • Proficient in agile development methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the business and contribute to technology direction that gives measurable business improvements
  • Ability to think out of the box in solving real world problems
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and thrive under pressure
  • Excellent decision-making, communication and collaboration skills
  • Risk domain expertise (major plus)

Responsibilities

  • Build solutions using strong background in distributed systems and large scale database systems
  • Build excellent user experience for customers
  • Research, analyze, design, develop and test solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews and project related team meetings
  • Work with other specialists, Architecture, Product Management, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and alignment to development principles and product goals
  • Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges
