Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • TS/SCI security clearance required; must be SAP eligible
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on complex systems, preferably within the space industry
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management processes and techniques
  • Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle (requirements definition, design, development, integration, testing, verification, validation, and operations)
  • Experience with systems engineering methodologies (e.g., Agile, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE))
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining system architectures, requirements documents, interface control documents (ICDs), and other technical documentation
  • Familiarity with System of Systems (SoS) concepts, architectures, and challenges
  • Experience in integrating heterogeneous systems and managing interdependencies
  • Understanding of emergent behavior and SoS-specific risks
  • Proficiency in risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring
  • Experience with risk management frameworks and tools (e.g., ISO 31000)
  • Ability to develop and implement risk management plans and strategies
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with space systems architecture, including spacecraft, launch vehicles, ground systems, and communication networks
  • Understanding of space environment effects on systems
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., NASA, MIL-STD, ISO)
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools for system analysis and performance evaluation
  • Ability to develop and use models to assess system behavior and identify potential risks
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, WarpCore)
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
