Requirements

  • Ability to work 12-hour AWS night shift Sunday-Tuesday & alternating Saturday 5pm-5am
  • AA Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Optics, or related field
  • Certificate from vocational or trade school in Electronics, Computer technology or Computer hardware maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of wafer fabrication practices, techniques and equipment
  • Knowledge of Metrology Equipment is preferred
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics and related instructions
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to adapt techniques and practices to situations appropriately
  • Ability to make recommendations for solutions or improvements
  • Ability to use a wide variety of common bench electronic equipment and specialized equipment (DVM, Oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Ability to use standard assembly tools and materials
  • Experience with one or more of the following Metrology equipment: e-Beam Metrology (and others implied like Optical Metrology, Overlay Metrology, X-ray Fluorescence, Magnetic Metrology)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on multiple Metrology toolsets (e.g., Optical Metrology, e-Beam Metrology, Overlay Metrology, X-ray Fluorescence, Magnetic Metrology), ensuring tools perform at optimum levels and within specification
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of down equipment to root cause of failure in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with departmental objectives
  • Notify Equipment engineers & tool-owners of parts requirements, repeated problems and equipment deficiencies
  • Provide solutions/suggestions when repeated problems and equipment deficiencies occur and when potential problems may occur
  • Perform complex preventive maintenance in accordance with PM specifications and applicable safety procedures
  • Thoroughly and accurately document the performance of preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Give accurate and detailed end of shift pass-down of equipment problems found and repairs performed
  • Work on assignments that may be complex in nature, where judgment and analysis are required in solving problems
  • Initiate continuous improvement activities with equipment engineering, vendors, and other cross functional groups to improve productivity, cost savings, and yield enhancement
  • Continuously improve required skill sets through formal training or through resolving issues while on the job (OJT)
  • Follow established policies, processes, guidelines, and methods to accomplish work
  • Collaborate with others within their own department and across other departments to achieve solutions that may improve business
  • May be required to work overtime to assist manufacturing needs
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
