Patient Services Coordinator

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, and at least one year of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or a similar role. They must also demonstrate proficiency in using computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), and be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
The Medical Services Coordinator will serve as a point of contact to coordinate medical care, provide support to patients and psychiatric clinicians, ensure quality customer service to in-person and remote patients and clinicians, and create a positive work environment by promoting LFST culture and engagement. They will also provide strong customer service by responding to patient needs, managing potentially difficult situations, communicating effectively with peers and patients, assisting with prior authorizations and lab orders, facilitating communication between patients and medical staff, managing phone systems to address patient inquiries, scanning correspondence into patient records, assisting patients with telehealth access and the Patient Portal, handling urgent requests, coordinating external referrals, and providing general clinician support with administrative tasks and coordinating patient terminations.
